DAY 01 : Airport / Kandy

Arrival to Colombo International Airport and meet Golden Lanka Travels guide at the airport arrival lobby.

Transfer from Airport to Colombo

In the afternoon, do a city tour of Colombo.  Colombo is the commercial and business center of Sri Lanka located on west cost. The city blends together with old colonial type building, high-rise commercial buildings and hotels. It is filled with shopping malls the Pettah bazaar – where one can shop for bargain. Some of the finest structures built during the colonial times still preserved in one part of the City. For example, there is a 100-year-old clock tower. And the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) which was a gift to Sri Lanka from the People’s Republic of China.

Over night stay at Global Towers / Berjaya Mount Royal or Similar.




DAY 02
: Sigiriya (Optional Excursion)

Proceed to Bentota & do a city tour of Bentota.

Bentota is a Sri Lankan coastal city famous for golden beaches, Bentota is situated on the southern coastal tip of the Galle District of the Southern Province. The town is a popular tourist attraction and also a favourite destination for watersports. It is especially famous among the foreign tourists. The name comes from a mythical story which dates back to kings time saying a demon called Bem ruled this river ( tota = river bank. Bentota hosts a handful of world proclaimed hotels. It is the hosting land for the famous Sri Lankan Jeweler Aida. Bentota also delivers an ancient art of healing called Ayurveda. Bentota is also famous for its production in Toddy. An alcoholic beverage made out of cocunut nectar.

Transfer from Bentota to Kosgoda.

Over night stay at Garden Beach Hotel Kosgoda or Similar.




DAY 03 :

Optional River Safari at Balapitiya ( US$ 20 per person ) or Rest by the beach

The Maduganga river is a shallow water body in south-west Sri Lanka, which enters the sea at Balapitiya. The Buddhist Amarapura Nikaya sect had its first upasampada (higher ordination ceremony) on a fleet of boats anchored upon it in 1803. The Buddhist Kothduwa temple is situated on an isolated island in the lake.
Together with the smaller Randombe Lake, to which it is connected by two narrow channels, it forms the Madu Ganga wetland. Its estuary and the many mangrove islets on it constitute a complex coastal wetland ecosystem. In has high ecological, biological and aesthetic significance, being home to 303 species of plants belonging to 95 families and to 248 species of vertebrate animals. It might be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.
