Tea was introduced to Sri Lanka by the British in the Year of 1824. The First tea plant was planted as an experimental planting in Peradiniya Botanical Gardens. After 40 years later the first tea estate was planted by Scotsman James Taylor at Loolacandoora.

This 17th century built temple of tooth relic is the most sacred Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. In this two storey building the upper flower in which the sacred tooth relic is enshrined in a gem-studded golden casket. Millions of devotees have venerated this sacred relic.

Established 1975 by the Sri Lanka Wildlife department Pinnawala Elephant orphanage is a sanctuary for rescued and injured from wild. Tourist from all around the world visit this palace to see these magnificent animals. Around 30 elephants were born since 1984.

Situated 34 km from the International Air Port Colombo is a fascinating city. It is still the commercial center of Sri Lanka which is filled with shopping centers and all modern facilities. The city has developed through several phases in to a modern city.
